Bed and Breakfast, first performed in 2015 in Canada, is a two-handed play by Mark Crawford depicting the fictional lives of a couple by the names of Brett and Drew. The plot of the play sees the couple inheriting a historic home in suburbia as they decide to leave their old busy lives, moving in and running it as a bed & breakfast. Of course, nothing goes according to plan; there are problems with the renovation, elements of farce, as well as the couple encountering prejudice from the townsfolk. The play was short-listed for the Stage West Pechet Family Comedy Award, in Crawford’s native country of Canada.
