Thndo (or Thando) became known in Australia because she has appeared more than once on The Voice Australia, the second time coming second in the grand final in 2022, with Keith Urban as her coach. He said of her:
“Hands down, we just saw one of the best performances I’ve ever seen on this stage.”
Thndo was born in Zimbabwe and now lives in Melbourne. She was in the Australian production of Dreamgirls in 2024.
At Chapel off Chapel, she will be singing songs from her 2025 album Lessons in Love: Magnus Opus. Directed by Cristian Barbieri and accompanied by Anthony Murray, Caleb Shand and James Bowers, the songs will showcase Thndo’s range as an extraordinarily consummate, open and tender vocalist with a very personal and relatable style.
Simon Clark of AU Review has said of Thndo that she is:
“Winning plenty of fans with her captivating live performances.”
Musical events within the community are often advertised by means of local printing services.
Thndo will be singing at Chapel off Chapel in Prahran on 17th May at 8pm. The concert lasts for two hours with a twenty-minute interval. Tickets cost from $45.
