Local arts and non-profit organisations in Prahran, Victoria, have been invited to attend a series of professional development workshops.
A City of Stonnington spokesman said council introduced the HeadsUp! Workshops to deliver expert advice and support to help strengthen community and local arts organisations.
The assistance is designed for everyone from volunteers and staff to board members.
The free workshops are schedule to be held regularly from now until October at various venues throughout the city.
On April 13 and May 11 four Not-for-profit Mentoring Clinics, presented by the Stonnington and Small Business Mentoring Service will be held.
These will be followed on May 25 at South Yarra’s Toorak Library with a workshop focusing on creating a blog connected with a business.
The spokesman said participants will learn new and innovative ways to interact and keep in touch with clients who are engaged with their product, service or business.
The power of blogging will also be discussed as well as tuition on writing, setting up and maintaining the useful communications tool.
On June 22, attendees will be provided with 10 top Business tips in a presentation put together by Creative Plus. It will include the basics of business ranging from digital printing to marketing services.
The spokesman said the tips will apply to all types of businesses ranging from writers and filmmakers to charities and visual artists.
