Marriott International to open new Melbourne hotel
Marriott International aims to open a hotel in a Melbourne suburb by 2019.
The hotel in question will be part of the Elements brand. Situated within Richmond, visitors may come from suburbs like Essendon for weekend breaks. The centre of Melbourne is close by and lots of events take place in the vicinity.
The vision behind the scheme is that the hotel shall have a commitment to sustainability. Postcard printing may be used to showcase the new-build hotel when the time comes.
Sean Hunt, a senior executive at Marriott International, suggested:
Hunt argued that the hotel would be appropriate for visitors who wanted information about wellbeing. He contended that such knowledge was particularly necessary for guests who may have been travelling for some time.
The construction of the building will try to minimise resource use going forward. For example, a large amount of glass should cut down on the need for electric lighting. Further, special shades may limit the usage of air conditioning. The interior of the hotel will be influenced by the colour of local flora.
