Two automotive brands, Volkswagen and Porsche, have commenced construction on training facilities at Essendon Fields.
The Maben Group is undertaking the $9 million project and approximately 60 employees will work to see the facilities completed.
Essendon Fields, already home to numerous car dealerships and aviation companies, is the ideal precinct for growth and training facilities. It was this proven track record that appealed to the Volkswagen team and won them over in a competitive bid to build its 2,500 square metre facility. The premises will house its regional office, finance sector and training programmes.
The Porsche facility, which will be 837 square metres once completed, will become the headquarters for training programmes for sales representatives and service technicians from Porsche Centres across Australia. One of the initial training programmes to be hosted at the completed centre, will be training to prepare staff for the new all-electric sports car, the Taycan, which Porsche hopes to release at the end of 2020.
CEO and Managing Director of Porsche Cars Australia, Sam Curtis, believes this is a milestone for the company and the training facilities will ensure that staff are well-equipped for the new Taycan.
Building Developers may utilise printing services to create Blueprints and plans of building projects. This project has been described by Essendon Fields CEO, Brendan Pihan, as a welcome job creation opportunity for many Victorians during an uncertain economic period. The project aims to be completed in the last quarter of 2020.Get a Free Quote for Blueprints
