Olive festival returns to Epping

Olive growers and enthusiasts in Epping and surrounding suburbs are preparing once again for Olives to Oil, an annual community event scheduled for mid-May.

Organised in partnership with the City of Whittlesea and run by CERES, a Community Environment Park in Brunswick East, this popular yearly event brings locals together to harvest and press olives into oil.

Olive growers within the City of Whittlesea are encouraged to bring their own olives – up to 20 kilograms’ worth – which will be pressed into oil that can be collected at a later date.

The harvest is celebrated in conjunction with a festival, which features olive preserving demonstrations, tree care workshops, olive tastings and sales, food stalls, free children’s games and activities, and live music and entertainment.

Organisers of community events like Olives to Oil can utilise bespoke letterheads, which add a contemporary, professional touch to their event communications and correspondence with participants or exhibitors.

The Olives to Oil festival will be held on Saturday, 17 May 2025, at May Road Senior Citizen Centre, 25 May Road, Lalor, VIC, 3075. The festival will begin at 12:00PM and conclude at 4:00PM. Tickets are free for both olive growers and festivalgoers, with olive growers requested to book a time during the festival to bring their olives to the drop-off site. To book tickets, please visit the Humanitix website.
