The book follows the adventures of Sunlight the Barrier Range Dragon as she leaves hibernation after winter in order to search for food, all while learning to avoid the fierce heat in the outback and the danger of predators before eventually encountering a mate.
At the launch event, it will be possible to buy the book and get it signed. The original artwork by Stark will be displayed, and there will be live animals present in the Reptile Encounter. A recent reviewer said of the artwork:
“The beautifully painted illustrations help tell the wonderful narrative. They are presented in typical Australian hues, making the scenes realistic, relatable and honest.”
Events such as book launches often generate the need for local printing services to produce informative leaflets about the authors and illustrators.
The Sunlight Dragon Book launch is taking place on Saturday, 13 June, from 1 pm until 3 pm. The venue is Creeds Farm Living and Learning Centre, 2 Snugburgh Way, Epping. The event is free to attend, but those coming are invited to register for a place beforehand. All youngsters who are 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
