Epping residents who enjoy woodworking as a hobby can enjoy an exhibition and community event in October.
Novices and craftspeople alike will be gladly welcomed by Timbecon, a family-owned boutique woodworking supplier that has been in operation since May 1989. It holds a range of tools and specialist timber, with showrooms in Canning Vale and Balcatta as well as Epping.
Timbecon Epping will be hosting the event. There will be in excess of 30 exhibitors, including Triton Tools, Whittle Wax, Ironbark Tools, Melbourne Tool Company and Douglas Fir Design. There will be demonstrations of various tools, advice from experts, hands-on workshops, new product launches and masses of wood for sale. The event will also feature the Against the Grain Exhibition, where craftspeople will submit work across three categories - woodturning, artistry and furniture design - to be judged and displayed.
There will be refreshments available on the day, plus exclusive deals that will only be available during the event.
The organisers of venues that display handmade items might rely on local printing services to produce descriptive text labels to accompany exhibits.
Tools, Timber & Techniques will be taking place on Saturday, 10 October, from 8.30 am until 3 pm. The venue is Timbecon Epping, which can be found at 594-598 Edgars Road in Epping. It is free to attend, and all are welcome.
