Last chance to get business advice in Epping

Business owners in Epping have one more opportunity to access professional mentoring this year with help from the Business Enterprise Centre.

The centre is providing an experienced business advisor who will run six one-hour sessions during the day. Mentors have usually run successful companies themselves or have held senior positions within larger firms, boasting several years’ experience in business.

The one-on-one discussions are suitable for current small business owners wanting to expand their company or anyone thinking of starting a business in the New Year.

Anyone booking a session is asked to complete a short questionnaire beforehand about their business and what they would like to achieve to ensure they receive accurate and relevant advice, including any useful extra reading or support materials.

Topics can include planning and growth, making successful changes to a business, finances, and setting goals.

Business owners can also get advice on marketing, be it traditional Forms of advertising such as brochure printing, or online marketing strategies like social media.

The sessions can be tailored to fit businesses in a number of different sectors, including home-based firms and sole traders.

The final mentoring event for 2015 takes place on Monday, December 7, from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm, at the City of Whittlesea Council offices. Sessions are free but must be booked in advance through the council’s economic development department.
