Fans of flowers in the Epping locality can soon take an early morning tour of a flower market to pick out the blooms with which to make and take home their own Christmas-themed arrangement.
Victoria Whitelaw will be guiding participants around the market, sharing her floral passion and helping them to choose flowers that will work for a Christmas show-stopper.
Whitelaw grew up in a floral environment as her mother was a florist. She worked alongside her mother and opened a tiny flower shop in South Yarra in 2006. A larger new site was then acquired, sometimes frequented by celebrities and Whitelaw’s stylists who use their skill and artistry to deck out high-end weddings and events.
Over a light breakfast during the Christmas event, Whitelaw will be demonstrating her skill and then helping attendees to produce their own creations. There will also be a time during which participants can buy additional flowers to take home at wholesale prices.
Labelling for produce in wholesale events like this one might draw on local printing services in order to produce clear signage.
The Christmas Floral Workshop and Flower Market Tour with Victoria Whitelaw is taking place on Thursday, 11 December, from 4.30 am until 6.30 am. The venue is the National Flower Centre, which can be found inside Melbourne Market on 55 Produce Drive in Epping. Tickets cost $192.50.
