Epping celebrates major community festival

This March, residents of Epping and surrounding areas are being asked to join in with the fun of their local council’s major community event, Arts on the Northern Edge.

Including music, visual art and theatre, this year’s Whittlesea Community Festival is sure to offer something for the whole family. With special performances of Rebel, a circus performance that celebrates the work of music legend David Bowie, in the works, along with the award-winning The Alphabet of Science, the weekend festival will also offer a range of market stalls, art installations and interactive workshops.

Headlining this year’s festival is Australian rock royalty, Mahalia Barnes, daughter of Aussie rock great Jimmy Barnes. Also set to perform is indie-pop artist Georgia Fields, while the Dinomaniacs will bring some Jurassic-era demonstrations to the weekend’s festivities. Local musicians can also add their own talents to the show by joining in the Big Lost Band, which will perform a mass ensemble at the festival finale.

Community events such as this can benefit from poster printing to advertise key details throughout the local community.

Organised by the City of Whittlesea’s Arts Culture and Events team, the 2022 City of Whittlesea Community Festival is scheduled to run from Friday, 25th March to Sunday, 26th March at the PRACC and the Civic Centre Lawns in South Morang. More information is available online via the City of Whittlesea website.
