Business owners from Epping can learn more about the importance of networking, and find out how to do it properly, at a special seminar this month.
The event is being run by Small Business Victoria, which aims to help the owners of small and medium size enterprises to learn new skills and techniques to build their businesses.
It will cover the basics of successful networking, as well as developing a business profile, and the skills of relationship building and being confident in different situations.
Participants will be encouraged to look at their current networking strategies in order to identify how they can be improved.
The lessons could be put into practice later the same week with the council hosting one of its regular Coffee and Connect sessions.
Both events will be an opportunity to meet other entrepreneurs from around the area, so participants should make sure their business card printing is up-to-date and includes all their contact details. Attendees might also like to think about digital Business Cards as an alternative way of giving their details to others.
The seminar takes place on Tuesday, August 25, at 9:00 am at the City of Whittlesea Council offices.
