New playground planned for Broadmeadows
Broadmeadows residents are being encouraged to share their views for the future of a local park.
The Hume City Council is planning to revamp the play area located in Broadmeadows Valley Park (North), which is found in Meadow Heights, and is looking for ideas as to what to include in the new facilities.
The area, which is classed as a district playing space, will remain a similar size and in the same location as the current equipment. The existing playground, which is in the corner of the park, includes climbing frames, slides and a seating area.
Printing services have been used to create a flyer showing the current park facilities and give residents the chance to share their views on what should replace it.
Options include swings, slides, monkey bars, and seesaws, while users are also asked to indicate the ages of the children they take to the playground, and if there are any other facilities they would like to be included.
Young residents can also take part in the survey by drawing a picture of how they would like the new area to look.
Further, the survey can be completed online via the Hume City Council website, or residents can email their ideas to the council. Opinions need to be submitted by Monday, December 15th. The new playground is due to be completed by the middle of next year.
