Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver has announced that he is bringing his healthy eating program to Victoria. The Ministry of Food is planning on using this program to teach families and children about healthy eating. The program is currently running in the UK, the United States and in Ipswitch, Queensland.
The program will be based in a few different areas. This will make the centres accessible to people who live in suburbs like Broadmeadows.
The government is contributing approximately three million dollars to the project. This is because Australia is currently number four on the list of the world's most obese countries. At present, governments all over the world are looking for ways to tackle obesity. This is because obese people tend to have a number of health issues. Countries that have a subsidised health care system are concerned about how much money obesity will cost the government in the long term.
The money will be used in a number of different ways. Firstly, the program will need to find a premise to run the program from. Organisers will also have to find qualified and experienced staff to work at the centre. Another expense will be marketing and advertising. One of the most effective ways to teach adults and children about obesity is to use printing services to create Brochures. These Brochures can contain paraphrased information, diagrams and photos. Ideally, readers will be able to understand what the program is about from briefly reading the brochure.
