Business awards to honour Broadmeadows companies

Time is running out for businesses in Broadmeadows to put themselves forward for a top award designed to celebrate local companies and their contribution to the economy.

Nominations for this year’s Hume Business Awards close in the middle of July, leaving just a couple of weeks for companies to get their nomination Forms submitted.

The awards offer a chance for businesses from around the city of Hume to tell people how and why their organisation is succeeding and what they have planned for the future.

This year’s awards feature a number of categories so there should be something suitable for every local business. Categories include customer service, sustainability, innovation, small businesses and sectors such as retail, tourism, and hospitality. There are also individual awards for business leader and young business achiever.

Entries will be judged by an expert panel based on the information provided on the entry form and potentially a site visit or interview.

The winners will be announced at a special cocktail function which will be held at the Parkroyal Hotel at Melbourne Airport in September. The event will be a prime networking opportunity for local business owners who might like to consider business card printing or even using brochure printers to create professional looking documents to show potential new partners.

The council must receive nominations by post, email or by hand before 5:00pm on Monday July 15th. For more information, and to download an entry form, visit the Hume City Council website.
