Koslowsky is a local artist who chooses to produce work and film that responds to the natural environment and harmony within nature. Koslowsky is Polish-born but grew up in Germany, moved to London and then emigrated to Australia 13 years ago. In the unique Victoria landscape, she has said she finds co-operation and collaboration between species and habitats and refers to nature as:
“A healing space, friend and source of life.”
Paintings are large-scale to help the audience feel immersed in the subject matter and help the viewer reflect on the bond with nature and recognise the contribution being made collectively to the loss of habitat due to climate change. Cam’s Kiosk will provide refreshments, and there is an opportunity to donate to charities supporting the local environment and people. Art exhibitions often use poster printing and placement as a means of advertising in the local community.
Dreamscapes of the Natural World – Becoming One is a screening and exhibition that takes place on Sunday 2nd April, from 5.30pm until 8.30pm. The venue is Abbotsford Convent, 1 Saint Heliers Street, Abbotsford VIC 3067. Tickets are needed for the screening of the video installation at 5.30pm, but not for the exhibition afterwards.
