Traditional pubs need to have new ideas, according to construction firm

A Melbourne building company has claimed that the owners of the area’s older pubs and hotels need to think differently if they are going to boost trade.

Pointing to the fact that people are now demanding more from where they eat and drink, Visual Builders says that if attitudes don't change, traditional pubs could well become a thing of the past. One of the firm's co-directors, Tony Lewis, explained:

"People are now expecting far more from their friendly local. The days of seeing old pubs on street corners are numbered."

Lewis went on to suggest that bar owners and managers across Melbourne and its suburbs need to buck their ideas up. The company director continued:

"Publicans have to continually look at what the market is demanding."

Responding to demand is a key part of surviving in modern Australia, as new and bold enterprises look to take a foothold in the market. Introducing new promotional ideas, printing companies in Abbotsford can help pubs and hotels to attract customers. Flyer printing, for example, can be used to spread the word about changes.

Whilst Print campaigns are always necessary, Lewis believes that as well as the food, drink and hospitality, creating a unique venue brand is also vital.

Visual Builders, which is based in Sandringham, was recently involved in the HIA Victorian Industry Awards, where its work on the Prahran Hotel was celebrated.

The Terminus Hotel, an art-deco building in Abbotsford, has also undergone a major reboot at the hands of the firm.
