Students to bring live cinema to Abbotsford
Abbotsford students with a keen interest in the filmmaking process have the opportunity to be part of an innovative project filmed and screened at Abbotsford Convent.
Commissioned by Abbotsford Convent and delivered by Here & Now, this five-day workshop is designed to remove barriers in the filmmaking process and empower young people to participate in collaborative creative work.
Participants will work with a professional film crew to develop, write, film, edit and project an original film over five days, made entirely on site at Abbotsford Convent - with the film to be premiered live on the fifth and final day of the program. The one and only showing of the film will be viewed by an on-site audience, shown via live stream and experienced in real time.
Audiences can expect a one-of-a-kind film experience, as the Here & Now workshop delivers ‘live cinema’. Their process promises no pre-recorded footage and relies on a live VIP guest for music.
Community organisations often use brochure printing to advertise local events and workshop opportunities. Brochures typically contain key event details such as dates, costs and locations, and can be shared throughout public venues and the wider area.
Abbotsford Convent’s Here & Now workshop will take place from July 14 to 18, with the live premiere scheduled for 7:30 pm on Friday, July 18.
