Gourmet food and fun day out planned for fundraising fair
A wide range of fun and activities will be awaiting families at this year’s Clifton Hill Primary School annual fundraising fair.
According to Fair organisers, there will be something for everyone including rides, games and live entertainment presented by Bin Night Romeos, a local covers band.
Posters and flyers advertising the fair also list a wine raffle, photo booth and face painting along with an opportunity to gain a head start on Christmas shopping at a massive silent auction.
The Gold Street Fair has also built up an impressive reputation for providing a top selection of gourmet food and this year, according to a spokesman for the organisers, will be no different.
She said that with the school’s location so close to the Collingwood and Fitzroy foodie hubs, the gourmet treats on offer will be a reflection of the choice and quality of food to which locals are so accustomed.
A wide selection of delicious food choices will be available at the Fair including carvery dishes, wood-fired pizza, Asian delights, baked potatoes and Super Sizzle BBQ.
For those with a sweet tooth there will be lollies, homemade cakes, Devonshire tea, Dutch pancakes and Italian handmade gelato.
While the youngsters devour snow cones and fairy floss, older members of the family may like to indulge in something from the coffee cart, bar or daiquiri stand, said the spokesman.
The Clifton Hill Primary School Fair will be held on November 19, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
