The Contemplary will be hosting a five-week course in Clifton Hill for those who wish to understand the process of forgiveness and how it benefits society.
‘To Live Well’ is a course born out of the experiences of Rwandan people who lived through genocide in 1994. Despite the prognosis of experts, many Rwandans turned this tragedy into an opportunity for reconciliation and healing in their community.
Their stories and transformation were documented by John Steward, the creator and presenter of To Live Well. He wondered whether these lessons on healing and forgiveness could be implemented in any society. Taking many of the valuable lessons and insights of the Rwandan people, John formulated this course in the hopes of creating opportunities for others to reflect upon this information and to apply these principles in their own lives.
The course aims to give participants tools to enable them to forgive themselves, so that they can then respond and contribute to society by building healthy relationships. The four-hour sessions provide ample opportunity for attendees to share their stories in a safe environment, acknowledge grief and explore how forgiveness and reconciliation work.
Many organisations make use of Print shops to aid them in creating advertising material which can be distributed within the community.
To Live Well begins on April 18th at the Community Church of St Mark in Clifton Hill. Sessions will run for five consecutive Saturdays from 2pm to 6pm. Further information regarding cost and bookings can be found on The Contemplary website.Get a Free Quote for Print
