Clifton Hill to celebrate sak

Saké Matsuri is a festival all about saké and it will be taking place in Clifton Hill next month.

Presented by experienced food and drink event organisers Revel, Saké Matsuri will give guests an opportunity to sample a wide range of saké varieties. Many of Australia’s best saké importers, such as Sakenet, Black Market Sake, SuperSake, Déjà vu Sake Co., and Chef’s Armoury Sakeshop, will be showcasing their wares.

This will be a chance to sample both traditional styles of saké and newer styles, to talk with the suppliers and learn about the different flavours and ways that the saké is made. Varieties will include Namazaki, Junmai Daiginjo, aged Koshu nihonshu and umami-rich Junmai.

Well-known local caterers will also be on hand with delicious food to accompany the saké.

The event will be held at the recently-opened Grau Projekt, 2-12 Alexandra Parade, Clifton Hill. It is an art gallery and warehouse bar created by Matt Bax, who is well-known as the mastermind of Melbourne’s Bar Americano, Bar Economico and Der Raum. Organisers of such events often use flyer printing services to create awareness of the event.

Saké Matsuri will be held on Saturday, 8th June from 11:00am to 8:00pm. Tickets cost $64.36 and can be purchased online through Eventbrite. Guests must be over 18 years, and might be asked for proof of age.
