Clifton Hill residents to enjoy modern art online
Residents of Clifton Hill will not have to miss out on enjoying accessible modern art and will still be able to view new exhibitions thanks to local gallery Conners Conners.
Connors Conners gallery is not-for-profit entity and is run by artists, for artists. The gallery aims to give local artists – at any stage of their career – a space in which to exhibit their work. The gallery has now introduced Conners Conners Online, featuring exhibitions of current and emerging artists from the local area.
The gallery supports experimentation in art, and encourages artists to explore different methods of contemporary art while becoming part of the Conners Conners community. Recent exhibitions include Turntable Paintings by Gerardo Tan and On Time featuring Lucina Lane, Virginia Overell, Adelle Mills and Kate Meakin.
As the gallery has been forced to close due to the current COVID-19 restrictions in Victoria, artists involved in the gallery have developed a new online platform allowing keen art lovers to stay up to date with the works of studio artists. The gallery’s Instagram page is also posting regular updates on artworks in development and features artists involved in the 2020 program.
Conners Conners is supported by the City of Yarra and is located in the Fitzroy Town Hall. Galleries such as this often use flyer printing services to advertise new exhibitions and artists.
