People from Abbotsford considering a career change should make a date in their diary for the Reinvent Your Career Expo later this month.
The two-day expo is perfect for people who want to improve their skills, embark on a new career, or who are thinking about returning to the workforce after a break.
At the event, there will be plenty of job experts waiting to dispense tips about the best way to kick-start a career. Everyone from leading companies to government organisations will be represented, and many of them will have current job opportunities on offer.
On each day, experts will be giving talks about how to boost career potential, including using networking sites such as LinkedIn to create a professional profile, and how to do well in interviews.
A number of tertiary organisations will also have stands offering details about vocational and academic courses that can help people along a new career path, and small business advisors will have advice about following a dream and starting a company from scratch.
Many of the organisations will have used brochure printers to provide information for visitors to take home and study.
The Expo will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on Saturday, June 21st and Sunday, June 22nd. Doors are open from 10am to 4pm. For more information, visit the Reinvent Your Career website.
