Those living near Abbotsford who are fond of vintage, mellow rock might wish to experience Pink Floyd by candlelight at Collingwood Town Hall.
Pink Floyd has always been one of the most loved of classic rock bands. Hailing from the UK, and having been around for nigh on sixty years, the psychedelic group have always been renowned for their experimental sound and elaborate live shows. The albums The Dark Side of the Moon, from 1973, and The Wall, from 1979, were inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame and the band’s musical output is one of the best-selling of all time.
At the Candlelight concert, the dreamy, shadowy space will only serve to enhance the auditory experience for the audience. The play list will include Another Brick in The Wall, Wish You Were Here and Shine On You Crazy Diamond. The music is brought to life by the Australian quartet, Eclective Strings, comprising for this particular performance of a violin, a viola and a cello.
