Clifton Hill residents can get 2015 off to a charitable start by signing up for the local Relay for Life.
The Relay for Life events raise money for the Cancer Council, which funds research into cancer prevention and treatment, as well as providing for support for sufferers and their carers.
The event begins with a lap of the route by cancer survivors and their supporters, before teams of walkers take part in a relay to keep moving throughout the night. In the evening, a candlelight ceremony is held to remember those who have lost their lives to the illness.
Breakfast is provided the following morning before the final laps are completed and the closing ceremony takes place.
The Yarra City event takes place in February, giving entrants plenty of time to register and get their fundraising campaigns underway in the New Year.
Team leaders could use poster printing to encourage people to sign up to join their relay group, which ideally should have between 10 and 15 people. Posters could also be used to advertise fundraising events in the lead up to the walk.
The relay starts at 4pm on Saturday, February 14th and runs until 10am on Sunday, February 15th at the Collingwood Little Athletics Centre. To register a team or just for the opening lap, visit the Relay for Life website.Get a Free Quote for Posters
