What's Happening in Abbotsford, VIC…

Annual festival scheduled for Abbotsford

The eighth annual festival celebrating the sparkly popular drink Prosecco is taking place at Abbotsford next month.

The Festival will feature in excess of 50 tipples to try, with winemakers, growers and importers converging on Abbotsford Convent hoping to educate, enlighten and promote their products.

The event will unite local producers as well as those travelling from Italy. The Prosecco and Spritz Bar, Van Di Vino, will also be serving wines and specially chosen craft ales and ciders.

There will, of course, be non-alcoholic options, this year provided by the alcohol-removed sponsor, Edenvale. Food will be available at the event, and ‘90s-themed music has been planned to encourage a lively, celebratory atmosphere. An after-party will also take place in The Oratory.

Current Italian offerings will come from producers such as Babo and Bandini, with Australian producers like Dal Zotto Wines and Brown Brothers hoping to entice potential customers.

Those attending the event will receive their own Plumm sparkling wine tasting glass to keep, plus a program and a tote bag. Promotional products like these that support events are often produced at local print shops.

The Prosecco Festival 2025 is taking place on Saturday, 22 February, from 11 am until 10.30 pm. The location is the Abbotsford Convent, which can be found at 1 Saint Heliers Street in Abbotsford. Tickets cost from $64.40.
