What's Happening in Abbotsford, VIC…

Abbotsford to appreciate classical sounds

The second concert of a festival dedicated to classical music featuring French composers will take place at an arts venue in Abbotsford this spring.

Classical music devotees living in Abbotsford can enjoy a performance being held in the city soon. November will find the suburb participating in the “Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) Festival of French Chamber Music” and hosting Concert Two of the three-date event.

Those who secure tickets for the event can expect an immersive musical journey full of the textures, moods and gestures associated with the chamber music genre. Professional festival planners often depend on premier printing services that can produce high-end programmes for classical concerts that guests can keep as mementos.

Titled “Harmonies Du Soir”, the upcoming event welcomes music aficionados to an elevated experience featuring several French artists. However, there will be a strong focus on the well-known works of composer and pianist Maurice Ravel. Favouring both traditional and contemporary materials, the evening will honour modern voices and old masters alike who have had an influence on the genre.

Concert Two of the ANAM Festival of French Chamber Music will now be held at Abbotsford Convent on Friday, November 28. The arts hub is located at 1 St Heliers Road in Abbotsford, and the concert commences at 7 pm and ends at 9 pm.
