Vampire games coming Salisbury South area

Salisbury has been selected as the site for a live-action role-playing game with a vampire theme later this year.

Those who enjoy new gaming experiences in Salisbury South and other suburbs won’t want to miss an upcoming event being held in the area this April. Entitled ‘Caduti Di Napoli: Requiem’, the game involves live action role play (LARP).

LARP is a type of role-playing game where those taking part physically portray their player characters. The players must pursue goals within a specific fictional setting that is represented by real-world environments and simultaneously interacting with other players in character.

Organisers of live games sometimes use brochure printing to explain how to participate and any particular rules involved. Canduti Di Napoli, (or Fallen of Naples) is a LARP game about vampires. It involves factions of the undead and is set within the Italian city of Naples. Rather than being a political LARP, it focuses on players facing environmental threats.

Caduti Di Napoli: Requiem will take place at 1st Salisbury Scout Group in Salisbury on Saturday, April 15. The LARP will start at 5.30 pm and end at 11.00 pm. General tickets are available at $12, with concessions offered $10.

The event is hosted by the Adelaide Roleplaying Community, a group that is dedicated to providing support and resources to those interested in taking part in LARPs.
