Book launch event to take place near Salisbury South

Avid readers in the Salisbury South area can soon listen to author Leonie Kelsall talk about her new book.

Kelsall will be talking about The Windmill in the Silver Gums, a romantic story with plenty of drama taking place in a rural setting in South Australia.

The main character of the book is Indi Jaenson, who has to keep the viability of the family farm after a tragic accident while overcoming debt, drought and competition. Jaenson discovers her relative’s journal from generations ago, and with the help of Blake Robertson, a local farm worker, she may just be able to make a plan to save her livelihood.

Kelsall has previously written other rural-based novels such as Path Through the Coojong Trees, The Wattle Seed Inn and The Farm at Peppertree Crossing.

The afternoon will be relaxed, with the opportunity to purchase a book, get it signed and enjoy a chat with Kelsall.

Advertising in the form of flyer printing is one way in which community events may be advertised.

Leonie Kelsall will be appearing as part of the Salisbury Author Series on 4 July, from 12.30 pm until 1.30 pm. The location is the John Harvey Gallery, Salisbury Community Hub in Church Street, Salisbury. The event is free to attend, but it is necessary to reserve a place as there will be limited space.
