Salisbury to host parenting event

A special programme designed to help parents manage and strengthen relationships with the people in their children’s lives will soon take place in Salisbury.

Parents from Salisbury South and other parts of the city are invited to attend an upcoming event called “Parenting Together”. A communication-based programme, the activity is a Communities for Children event funded by the Social Services department of the Australian Government.

Activities funded by both local and national governments sometimes use brochure printing services to create informational Booklets for those looking to participate, outlining topics covered.

The event is designed to help parents improve the quality of their communications with individuals who play a significant role om the life of their child. Such people include members of the local children’s support network, extended family members as well as former and present partners.

The group session is aimed at parents looking to improve their co-parenting skills who want to develop their parenting abilities and learn ways to resolve conflicts and brand-new communication skills. It offers effective practices and ideas on ways to develop productive family relationships.

The Parenting Together event will take place at Relationships Australia, Shop 7 in Salisbury Cinema Complex at the Corner of James and Gawler Street in Salisbury on May 20. The programme will begin at 8.30 am and end at 11 am. Admission to the event is free of charge.
