Salisbury to celebrate superheroes in July

Parabanks Shopping Centre, located close to Salisbury South, will be hosting Superhero Saturday in July.

It is a free family-friendly event to celebrate superheroes from the Marvel franchise. The day will include activities such as face painting, badge-making and a balloon artist. Attendees can come dressed as their favourite superhero as there will be prizes for the best-dressed as well as other giveaways.

Attendees will have an opportunity to check out “Car 98 - The Avengers”, one of the entrants in the SA Variety Bash 2020. In this event, competitors drive through country South Australia whilst raising funds for sick and disadvantaged children in the state. Local community events such as Superhero Day are typically advertised via the use of banner printing.

Superhero Saturday is not new to the City of Salisbury. A similar event was held on May 5th in 2018 at James Street. After the event, attendees can grab a bite to eat from the multitude of options in the Parabanks Shopping Centre food court, buy some groceries or indulge in some shopping.

There is free parking at the centre with more than 1,500 parking spaces. The centre is easily accessible by public transport with the Salisbury Train and Bus Interchange being located within two minutes walking distance from the centre.

Superhero Saturday will be held on 11th July from 10am to 1pm at the Parabanks Shopping Centre, located on 68 John Street.
