The Council on the Ageing (COTA SA) will host a conversation with Salisbury Seniors on the topic ‘holiday on a tight budget’ as part of its regular monthly ‘conversations’ with seniors’ series.
The event will be held in collaboration with the City of Salisbury and the Northern Collaborative Project. At a COTA SA Salisbury Conversations with Seniors event, Salisbury South residents can expect to receive specific information on a variety of topics that have a direct impact on their lives.
During the session, attendees can participate in and assist with the accumulation of knowledge for the wider community. The event provides a forum for the voice of Salisbury Seniors to be directly heard by the City of Salisbury on the issues that are important to them. These views can then be used to make policy decisions by the council. Community events that are targeted to a specific audience such as seniors can be promoted via brochure printing services.
COTA SA has been running this regular event since October 2015. It was previously called ‘COTA SA Conversations with Northern Seniors’. In February 2020, the group celebrated its 25th conversation.
Conversations with Seniors will run from 9:30am to 12 noon on Tuesday August 18th. Perks include morning tea and a prize draw with attendance being free of cost. The event will be held at Salisbury Community Hub on Church Street. It is essential to make bookings and this can be done over the phone, with RSVPs being required by August 14th.
