Salisbury Plays to make October return

Salisbury Plays will be taking place again this year in St Kilda, near to Salisbury South.

The increasing use of technology has seen the amount of time families spend outdoors in the fresh air decrease. Salisbury Plays is an initiative that encourages the local community to enjoy a day outdoors.

In collaboration with Nature Play SA, the City of Salisbury will provide a range of activities for the entire family on the day. This will include face painting, tram rides, parkour, and a nature walk along the St Kilda Mangrove Boardwalk.

Activities run by Nature Play will include bush craft, nature walks to explore the local flora and fauna, crafts out of natural resources found in the area, kite decoration and kite flying, potion making, and other Forms of nature-related craft.

Salisbury Plays is a Discovery Salisbury initiative, which was formed as part of the City of Salisbury Tourism and Visitor Strategy 2016-2021 and was launched in November 2017. Its objective is to promote local attractions by celebrating its nature, arts and culture. Printing services are often used for such promotional activity.

Salisbury Plays will be held at the Adventure Playground, which already offers a range of experiences such as an international Bird Sanctuary, on-water activities, walks, and picnic areas. The event will take place on Saturday 10th October from 11am on Fooks Terrace in the St Kilda Adventure Playground. The event is free for all to attend.
