Salisbury hosts foster carer event

A foster care introductory programme is set to take place in Salisbury.

People based in Salisbury South and other parts of the city who are interested in becoming a foster carer are invited to attend an upcoming event entitled “Join Our Circle of Care”. An informational session explaining and outlining what is involved in becoming a carer, the evening event is designed to answer questions while giving interested parties an idea of the responsibilities required for the role.

Organisations running community programmes sometimes enlist the help of professional brochure printing services to create informational Booklets detailing the options available. Those attending the event can select between long and short-term, immediate and respite foster caring with the Centacare Foster Care programme. The different kinds of care will be explained, along with the process for application and assessment. The responsibilities of each type of carer will also be examined, along with the support and expert training courses that will be made available to successful candidates.

The Join Our Circle of Care event will be held at Emmaus House, 33 Carey Street in Salisbury on Tuesday, June 21. The session will start at 6 pm and end at 7 pm. For the event to maintain appropriate social distancing measures, attendance is capped, so it is essential that those interested register for the event.
