The City of Salisbury is holding a free ‘Mindset for Life’ program that retired Salisbury South residents can attend in September.
Mindset for Life is aimed for retirees who are unsure of their next steps. As retirement is often a challenging time where individuals are aiming to figure out what they want to do with their time, the program aims to support people in this transition period.
The Mindset for Life program utilises an approach called ‘peer model’, where the end outcome is an individualised achievable retirement plan. The design process will also enable attendees to have a better understanding of their skillset, capabilities, and priorities, as well as a changed perspective of their future.
The program will be held over six Zoom sessions and will be facilitated by experienced presenters from the agency Think Human. Over the course of the program, participants will be introduced to a number of frameworks, tools and research to assist in thinking about their retirement expectations and experiences, with the objective being a future life design.
Such community programs are typically promoted via flyer printing, with Flyers placed in high visibility community areas such as libraries, community halls, and fitness centres.
Each session will run from 7pm to 8.30pm and will commence on Tuesday 8th September, with the last session occurring on Thursday 24th September.
