Opportunity to participate in propagation workshop

Salisbury South residents can partake in a propagation workshop this December.

The free Community Propagation Workshop is a collaborative initiative between the City of Salisbury and Provenance Indigenous Plants. It will be held in a plant nursery that sells a variety of trees, shrubs, grasses and wetland plants native to the area.

During the workshop, participants will assist in preparing seedlings to grow before they are planted in their permanent locations. They will have the opportunity to learn some gardening skills that can later be utilised for home gardening.

There will be a series of these workshops held in order to achieve the objective of planting 10,000 trees along the banks of the Little Parra River. The project is funded by South Australia’s Department of Infrastructure and Transport, with the trees set to be planted in 2021.

Such state-funded and community initiatives can be promoted via printing services, with Flyers and Posters placed in highly visible locations to attract a wide target audience.

The next Community Propagation Workshop will take place on 9th December at 10am at Provenance Indigenous Plants, which is located on Sandy Crescent in Salisbury Park. The workshop is limited to 10 participants only, and as such, interested parties are encouraged to sign up in advance to secure a place. Tickets can be booked online on the City of Salisbury website.
