Cocktail evening to celebrate International Womens Day

Salisbury South residents can participate in the City of Salisbury’s International Women’s Day cocktail evening next month.

The event will be hosted by Mayor Gillian Aldridge OAM. It will be emceed by Adelady employees Hayley and Laura. Adelady is a platform used to share all that South Australia has to offer, which includes, dining, travel, health and beauty.

The International Women’s Day event will be commemorating 100 service years by the Royal Australian Air Force. Three guests from Women in Defence will be speaking on the stage and will talk from experience, focusing on challenges and successes. Guest speakers include Flight Lieutenant Sarah McLaren, Wing Commander Marija Jovanovich and Leading Aircraftwoman Mikaela Sim.

The event is ticketed, with tickets costing $30 for full price and $24 for concessions. The ticket price covers cocktail food, door prizes, guest talks and a glass of Pinot Noir or juice that will be provided on arrival. Such community events can be widely promoted via flyer printing to alert residents of upcoming activities.

The International Women’s Day Cocktail Evening will be held at the Salisbury Community Hub and will commence at 7pm. The venue is located on 34 Church Street. The event will take into consideration the local council’s regulations on the COVID-19 pandemic, and any changes will be based on instructions from the South Australian Government and Health department.
