Archery event available to enter in Salisbury South

Keen archers in the Salisbury South area may wish to enter a WA Badge Event tournament in August.

Cressy Archers began as Cressy Bowmen in 1965. Named after the Battle of Cressy (where a smaller number of British longbow archers developed a larger French opposition in 1346, as part of The 100 Years War), it is a thriving club with a varied social program, where members are always keen to welcome visitors from other clubs to take part in shoots.

Inclusivity is key, so that all can develop as athletes with a keen sense of community. There is no minimum age and often families enjoy shooting together.

Affiliated with Archery Australia and Archery South Australia, there are varied options for shooting, including the longbow, crossbow and the Olympic recurve. Competition is available for those that wish to enter, but it is possible to just shoot recreationally.

Hard Copies of rules, as well as Brochures, for sporting events and competitions may well be provided by organisers. Local printing services can help design and create these.

The Cressy Archers Invitation Tournament is scheduled to take place on Sunday, 24 August, from 10 am until 2.30 pm. The venue is Cressy Archers, Rundle Reserve, Salisbury South. This is classified as Round: WA60/900 – All Open Class; Crossbow: X-WA60/900. Lunch is available.
