What's Happening in Salisbury South, SA…

For the 29th successive year, Salisbury will host its community Annual Christmas Parade at the end of the month.

It will start on Commercial Road in Pioneer Park. The parade will traverse down John Street, followed by Gawler Street and finish near Hoyts Cinemas.

The festive season will bring together local schools and businesses, bands, sporting organisations, and service clubs. Banner printing is often used by organisers of events like this to help raise awareness among the public.

A range of events are set to be available prior to and after the parade. There will be a number of market stalls where visitors can do a spot of Christmas shopping. Kids can entertain themselves with amusement rides, jumping on the free bouncy castle, getting their faces painted, or getting some balloon animals made. The Community Hub will be hosting letter writing to Santa and a colouring competition. The evening will end with a family-friendly movie on the big screen.

Festivities will begin at 10am on 30th November and will run until late. Visitors can still go to the Salisbury Christmas Markets on the following day, December 1st. The markets will be situated within Civic Square on John Street from 10am to 3pm.

For those coming from Salisbury South, Burton or further afield, there will be plenty of street parking near Pioneer Park; however, it is best to get in early before it gets busy with visitors.
