Southport to hear iconic rock from America

A world-renowned rock band with an ever-evolving line-up is set to play live in Southport in 2024.

Resident rock fans in Southport are in for a treat in February next year. US rock icons Queens of the Stone Age will now be performing live on stage at Broadwater Parklands with support from Australian alternative rockers Spiderbait.

Organisers of outdoor events like concerts and festivals often count on professional banner printing services to create bespoke signage that can cope with any kind of weather, from torrential rain and severe winds, to glaring sunshine, with UV protected and waterproof materials.

Those attending the upcoming gig in Southport will get to hear a host of classic tracks from the band that may include “Go with the Flow” and “No One Knows”. However, the Queens of the Stone Age will likely be showcasing their recent singles too, such as "Carnavoyeur", "Emotion Sickness" and "Paper Machete".

Queens of the Stone Age formed in Seattle, Washington in 1996. The rock band was founded by guitarist and vocalist Josh Homme, who remains the only constant group member throughout its multiple line-up changes. Numerous rock artists have performed guest appearances on the band’s albums including Mark Lanegan of Screaming Trees and Dace Grohl of The Foo Fighters.

Queens of the Stone Age will be at Broadwater Parklands in Southport on February 4. The show is set to start at 7pm.
