Hospitals in Southport will host the suburb’s yearly art festivities that celebrate the abilities of mental health consumers in Queensland later this year.
Art and music enthusiasts in Southport will likely be pleased to hear that the much-loved ArtBeat event will return to the suburb in October. A celebration of self-expression, creativity and self-awareness, it takes place over three weeks and is closely associated with Queensland Mental Health Week.
The Robina Hospital and the Gold Coast University Hospital will host the festival and exhibition, which are both presented by Gold Coast Health. The event highlights the musical and artistic talents of mental health consumers, and all members of the community are invited to enjoy the work and skills on show.
