A Southport art gallery is welcoming a record-breaking Australian artist to exhibit his latest work and put on a live show.
Fans of art and death-defying feats in the suburb will find their interests equally served, as Australia’s own performance and visual artist, Chayne Hultgren, better known as “The Space Cowboy”, is preparing to showcase his newest body of work.
An opening event will unveil the new series, and it combines a live performance with an immersive exhibition.

Among the most ingenious sword swallowers performing today, The Space Cowboy is respected for his ever-expanding list of sideshow stunts and is the current holder of 55 Guinness World Records. Among his feats is a personal record of simultaneously swallowing 29 swords.
Since 2021, he has also worked as a contemporary artist. His painted canvases often include anthropomorphic subjects, and a selection of his works feature augmented reality (AR) elements that can be animated via smartphones.
