A bar in Southport known for its live gigs will present a famous group of Australian indie rockers this spring.
Residents of Southport with a passion for supporting homemade talent can rock out in springtime. November will see local music venue Vinnies Dive Bar open its doors to Australian indie rock outfit, British India. The band are stopping in Southport to play a show as part of their latest tour. Named after their most recent release, the tour is titled “The Gospel of Luke”.
Bands and their record companies often collaborate with Graphic Design Services to set artwork for a range of Print materials from album covers to tour Posters.
The fresh recording is British India’s first new album in eight years and includes guitaring from Jack Tosi, the band’s latest member. For more than 10 years the group were among the most played acts on Triple J Radio and fans attending the Southport will get to hear their hits alongside the new songs.
The band are joined on the tour by fellow Australians. Purple Disturbance. Known for mixing high-energy punk with 90s rock, their sound has been likened to early-years Ramones.
British India will now be at Vinnies Dive Bar on Thursday, September 11. The show will kick off at 7.30 pm with a Purple Disturbance performance. The bar is sited at 44A Nerang Street in Southport.
