Southport locals can prepare for a dinner and show event coming to the area in January.
The event will centre around Sir John Rowles, one of New Zealand’s most loved voices.
Rowles’s career has spanned decades, and his timeless hits like Cheryl Moana Marie and If I Only Had Time have captivated audiences across the world.
Rowles started his career in Whakatāne and Kawerau, the place of his childhood, and later achieved international fame in Australia, the UK, USA and beyond, with his story and music continuing to inspire.
Rowles is known for his charm, stage presence, and velvet vocals, and attendees will have the special opportunity for an up-close experience.
The evening will include a two-course dinner alongside the live show.

Sir John Rowles – A Night with a Knight will be held on Friday, 9 January, 2026. The show will take place in the Compass Room of the Southport Yacht Club, 1 MacArthur Parade, Main Beach, QLD 4217. At 5:30 PM doors open, with dinner service beginning at 6:00 PM. The show commences at 7:30 PM. Tickets for the dinner and show are $80 each. Bookings can be made through the Humanitix website.
