Ultimo to welcome creative lab

Performance artists and creatives in Ultimo are invited to join a creative lab coming to the suburb in January.

Facilitated by Kate Sherman Projects, the three-day creative lab will explore composition, viewpoints and somatic flow.

It is designed for creative artists, including dancers, writers, actors, filmmakers, directors, performance artists, teaching artists, and dramaturges.

Attendees will be able to connect with their creativity and to foster dynamic, authentic impulses and deep presence.

Through play and experimentation, they will be encouraged to engage with their curiosity and deepen their creative skills and practice.

Morning sessions will focus on somatic practices, including body mind centring, embodied flow yoga, and authentic movement. Afternoon sessions will explore compositions and viewpoints, and the ways they can be used to craft playful, creative and expansive compositions.

Each day will build on the previous day’s learnings. To attend the second and third days of sessions, an understanding of viewpoints is required.

Workshop organisers can use Promotional Products to foster a positive relationship with attendees. Personalised promotional items encourage brand recognition and positive associations, even after an event has concluded.

Immerse will be held from Friday, 16 January to Sunday, 18 January 2026. The sessions begin at 10:00 AM each day, and will be held at ReadyMade Works Inc, 247-257 Bulwara Road, Ultimo NSW 2007. The cost is $380 for the entire three-day lab, or $150 for individual day attendance. Bookings can be made through Eventbrite.
