A community hub in Ultimo will present a weekend workshop dedicated to painting objects found in nature.
Citizen who are keen to get creative can join this upcoming event. The morning workshop will let learners try their hand at watercolour painting under the watchful eye of an art tutor. A practical experience, the session allows students to use different techniques to explore and recreate the details found in flowers, seed pods and leaves while connecting with their peers.
The price of admission is $50 per person, which includes all art materials needed. However, those joining the workshop are asked to come with their own apron to protect their clothing and wear closed shoes.
Institutions and centres hosting art classes, workshops and other creative experiences sometimes look to brochure printing services to list any materials included and items to bring, along with the price to participate.
During the art class, a small group of up to 10 students will discover how to create smooth washes and understand how paint pigment and water interact to build texture and tones. Transparent layering and colour mixing will also be taught to add depth to paintings.
The one-off watercolour workshop will run on Sunday, June 21 at Ultimo Community Centre. The session starts at 11 am and ends at 1.30 pm, and the centre is situated on William Henry Street in Ultimo.
