A drawing workshop designed for absolute beginners is taking place at a civic centre in Ultimo later this year.
Ultimo residents looking for a way to express themselves creatively can get involved in a springtime art class being held in the city. The weekend workshop is called “Drawing Portraits for Beginners” and is designed to create a supportive and warm environment for those at the start of their artistic journey.
Creatives often count on professional Print shops to order Copies of their work in high-definition colour that they can put in portfolios or sell online through popular platforms like Etsy.
Aimed at artists aged 16 and over, the hands-on experience is led by an expert tutor who will supply step-by-step instructions personalised to the kill level of each individual student. Those enrolling will get an opportunity to get creative and pick up new drawing skills while engaging with their peers.
While all art materials like graphite sticks and charcoal are provided, workshop attendees must bring an A4 photo with a head and shoulders view of a person with them.
The drawing class will run in the Art Room of the Ultimo Community Centre on Sunday, November 9 between 11 am and 1.30 pm. The centre is situated at 40 William Henry Street in Ultimo and the workshop costs between $40 and $50 with just 10 places available.
