An Australian broadcaster in Ultimo is offering members of the public a chance to become its live studio audience for a new take on a popular TV documentary competition.
The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) is filming its new show “Race Around the World” in Ultimo. This autumn, members of the community can take their places in a live audience for free as the show is shot.
Major corporations often feature their trademarks on professional Letterheads - such as the ABC logo featuring a soundwave, which was created by graphic designer Bill Kennard.
The show is a competitive travel series that sees six solo Australian filmmakers tasked with traveling to 10 different countries over 100 days to make 10 documentaries. The programme is a reboot of a cult show in the 1990s.
Describing the revival show, ABC called it a thrilling international adventure where character, craft and creativity are required to succeed. It added that each filmmaker will need to overcome obstacles and meet strict deadlines while producing captivating films to win.
The event is happening at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation on Wednesday, May 20 and starts at 2.15 pm and finishes at 5.15 pm. The studio is located at 700 Harris Street in Ultimo.
