New Berlin event to benefit Wisconsin Humane Society

Next month, Capital Electric in New Berlin will host the Brat Fry to raise funds for the animals of the Wisconsin Humane Society.

Capital Electric is a wire and cable company that provides wholesale distribution of electrical, industrial, and network products. It also provides support to community organizations, one such method of support being the Brat Fry benefiting the Wisconsin Humane Society.

The Wisconsin Humane Society has been helping homeless animals for over 140 years and now serves 40,000 animals a year. It is Wisconsin’s largest animal shelter and receives no general government funding, instead relying on charitable contributions.

The Brat Fry will take place at Capital Electric’s headquarters. It will serve $5 lunches, with the choice between a hot dog or bratwurst, a bag of chips, and soda or water. Attendees wishing to make a physical donation can place their donation item in the designated donation bin that will be present. Needed items include treats, pet food, leashes, and cleaning products. A full wish list of items can be found on the shelter’s website.

Charity events like this are often supported by sponsoring businesses, who may give Corporate Gifts to the cause.

The Brat Fry event is scheduled for July 29 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Capital Electric is located on 16680 West Cleveland Avenue, New Berlin.
