Library hosts fundraiser for childrens area

A local library will soon host its Third Annual Fall Literary Fundraiser.

The annual event entitled Milwaukee on Tap: A Fundraiser with John Gurda will showcase the words of Milwaukee historian and speaker John Gurda who will discuss how Milwaukee became known as the “Beer Capital of America.” Additionally, he will explore an intriguing connection between Franklin and Milwaukee’s brewing past. Following this presentation, there will be a Q&A session where attendees can engage Gurda in conversation.

The guests attending the event will be provided with an appetizer and dessert buffet along with various kinds of drinks. Money raised from this event will facilitate the renovation and expansion of Franklin Public Library’s Children’s Area.

The organizers, Franklin Public Library Foundation, would like to express their sincere appreciation to the Franklin Tourism Commission, Mary Horton Carstensen, Rose Purpero-Spang, Barbara Wesener, and Mark Carstensen for sponsoring these proceedings. The sponsor's Logo Design is often featured prominently at an event.

Different levels have been established for ticket purchases for the fundraiser. General admission is priced at $40 while there are sponsorship opportunities where one can select. Sponsor Level 1 ticket at $100 comes with one event ticket and recognition in the program booklet. A Sponsor level two ticket at $250 comes with two event tickets plus extra recognition.

Milwaukee on Tap: A Fundraiser with John Gurda will be at the Franklin Public Library near New Berlin on October 3rd.
